Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
Working in the construction industry may mean your tax obligation falls under the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
The CIS is a tax deduction scheme covering payments made by contractors to subcontractors (as distinct from employees, which instead are covered by PAYE). Because of this, as a self-employed contractor in the construction industry, ICS Accounting’s CIS arrangement may be the best option for you.

Who Do We Serve as CIS Accountants?
It’s important to confirm whether someone is suitable. We ask all CIS workers who approach us to complete our purpose-designed Supervision, Direction and Control (SDC) questionnaire.
In this you’ll answer a set of open-ended questions the answers to which will help us confirm eligibility for SDC. We also require that you be on a minimum rate of £16.75 per hour.
